Should Gospel Musicians Get Their Lyrics From Drinking Spots – DJ Qwequ Asks VGMA Board

Papa Qwequ Amissah, an entertainment analyst who doubles as a blogger has replied to Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) board member, Kwame Dadzie on his reason why “Ye Obua Mi” by Joe Mettle didn’t qualify for the VGMA Record of the Year category.
A post by Mic Yamoah reposted by Promoterr Wyse stated that; “According to VGMA board member Kwame Dadzie ‘Ye Obua Mi’ by Joe Mettle didn’t qualify for Record of the Year because the category “looks at originality” and some of his lyrics were lifted from the quotation in the Bible”.
This got the attention of DJ Qwequ who replied by asking where gospel musicians get their lyrics from.
“So as a gospel musician he should get his lyrics from a drinking spot”, DJ Qwequ asked.
