The Industry Should Give More Listening Ears To Spoken Word/Poetry Acts – De Parrot Speaks

De Parrot Speaks has taken the bull by the horns to defend and protect the good name of Spoken Word and Poetry to the highest score by tasking the creative Arts body and the nation as a whole to pay more attention to poets, writers and authors.

The multiple award-winning Ghanaian Poet has been advocating for a more listening ear to spoken word Acts, Poets, Writers and Authors because she believes that these sectors can bring more Glory than Shame.

“Spoken word, Poets, Writers and Authors like legendary Kofi Anyidoho, Kobena Eyi Acquah, Kofi Awoonor, P. A. K. Aboagye, Miss Ama Ata Aidoo, just to mention a few have defended this subject with all they had, buh couldn’t get the necessary attention and opportunities to exhibit more… It’s time for the industry and the nation as a whole to pay more listening ears to the new generation crop of spoken word/Poetry Acts, Writers and Authors who are full of talents, in-depth knowledge and wisdom to explore through their gift”. She said

“Spoken Word and Poetry have a bright future and if more attention is given to it, the nation, Africa and the world at large will be proud of us one day”. De Parrot Speaks added.

De Parrot Speaks is well-known for her hits Spoken words like Somewhere In West Africa, Gifted, Faith, Trigonometry, The Cerebrum Vol.1&2, Humanity and the brand new ‘Deep Within’ which is gaining more momentum on all digital platforms and music outlets.

She is currently in the studio recording her second EP titled “Scroll”(The Divine Message) which is scheduled to be released on August 13, 2023.
