Shatta Wale has debunked rumours about him collecting money to perform at Covid 19 virtual concert that was hosted to launch the GH Covid 19 tracker app.
Shatta Wale went live on Facebook to address this issue and also make Ghanaians know the truth and the fact and stop spreading false rumours.
“Why do people lie like that? U see me, people have said me I like money, Yes! I like money bad, but when my country needs me to perform in these difficult times, there is no way I will choose money first,”, he fumed.
“When they talk about patriotic people I am one of them. I am very patriotic. I like to support my country”, he added.
Shatta Wale further disclosed that the call to perform at the launch came from one of the big men he respects so much which he willingly agreed without talking about money.
“My God-father called to say the ministry wants to do something and I am one of the main people to have done a virtual concert and that they would love to involve me and I agreed to do it for free…I did it for free because I know where that thing go fit talk me go”, he stated.
Shatta Wale emphatically stated that no musician collected any amount of money ranging from 40,000 cedis to 100,000 cedis.
