Pep Guardiola Donates 1 Million Euros To Help Stop The Spread Of Coronavirus

Manager of Manchester City , Pep Guardiola has donated 1 million euros to help curb the spread of the deadly pandemic , Covid-19.

Reportedly the amount donated by the manager of Manchester City, Guardiola will help promote the campaign by the Medical College of Barcelona and Angel Soler Daniel Foundation.

Personal protective medical equipments will be procured for the frontline health care staffs which is a big boost of the efforts given at the shortage of PPE equipments in health facilities across Europe.

However, Spain is one of the biggest hit countries by the virus with over 40,000 recorded cases and over 2,000 deaths recorded.

Pep Guardiola is one of the lastest football icon to donate to the fight aganist the Coronavirus. Cristiano Ronaldo, Robert Lewandowski and Lionel Messi have also donated to the fight aganist the virus.

A number of players, including Juventus duo Paolo Dybala and Daniele Rugani, Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi, Valencia pair Mangala and Garay and former Manchester United midfielder, Marouane Fellaini tested positive for the disease, although many of them have recovered.
