Flag bearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has announced that the late Jerry John Rawlings will be given a befitting burial.
According to report, Mahama made this known after having an indoor meeting with the NDC committee. Since the shocking demise of the former president, both NPP and NDC have suspended their political activities.
Mahama and other members of the party have also expressed grief over the death of Rawlings. Though the burial date is yet-to-be made known, Akufo-Addo has already declared that Rawlings will be given a befitting state burial while Mahama also says he will be given a befitting burial. As it stands, we cannot what will happen in the next few days but I believe time will tell.
The founder of the National Democratic Congress sudden death occured on November 12, 2020 at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital where he was under treatment after contracting the covid-19 virus according to an unconfirmed report.
