2020 BET Awards To Go Virtual On June 28

BET Awards’20 will on Sunday, June 28, 2020, celebrate the best of Black culture in music, TV, film, sports and philanthropy on the biggest night in entertainment.

20th BET Awards will be held virtually due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns and will be simulcasted via CBS.

The ceremony marks the award show’s 20th year on air and the 40th anniversary of Black Entertainment Television, as well as the first-ever virtual ceremony in its history.

This year, BET shines a light on the heroism and dedication of essential workers and activists throughout the show.

Actor, author and social media powerhouse Amanda Seales is your host with appearances and performances by Alicia Keys, Chloe x Halle, DaBaby, Summer Walker, Jennifer Hudson, Lil Wayne, Masego, Megan Thee Stallion, Usher, and many more.

Plus, expect powerful tributes to legends Little Richard and Kobe Bryant for the first time ever, CBS will simulcast BET Awards ’20 in celebration of this momentous anniversary!.

The nominees were announced on June 15, 2020. Drake received the most nominations with 6, ahead of Megan Thee Stallion and Roddy Ricch, who tied with five nominations each. It was also announced that same day that the ceremony will be hosted by actress/comedienne Amanda Seales. Beyoncé will be presented with the Humanitarian Award.
